If you've found your way here, you may be carrying something your body hasn't been able to put down. Perhaps it's chronic pain or fatigue that no one has been able to explain. Perhaps it's anxiety, or a nervous system that hasn't felt settled in years. Perhaps you're a mother whose baby is struggling, and your instincts are telling you something needs to shift. Or perhaps you simply sense that what you're carrying lives somewhere deeper than words can reach.
That sense is worth trusting.
I listen. Through my hands, yes, and with all of my being. Deeply, quietly, with my whole self present.
When you arrive, everything is done slowly. Time and space are given to the process of settling. Only when I am settled and quiet do I make contact with you. And then I wait again, observing what I begin to perceive now that we are in connection. What I am listening for is your system itself - its rhythms, its patterns, its story. And when something opens, when a shift occurs, it feels like direct communication. The body speaking. The system saying: here. this. now.
This is not work that fixes from the outside. It listens from within, and in that listening, something begins to shift.
A teacher of mine once said: There is only self-healing. I have never forgotten it. My role is not to fix or direct. It is to hold space and create the conditions in which the healing intelligence of your system remembers what it already knows how to do. Rest. Regulate. Heal.
WHAT IS CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY?
Craniosacral therapy is a gentle, non-invasive form of bodywork, at the heart of which is the relationship between touch and the nervous system (amongst others, notably the vagus nerve, responsible for communicating safety to every major organ in your body, and for bringing your system out of survival mode and back into balance). I listen through touch to the subtle rhythms in the craniosacral system - the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and nourish the brain and spinal cord - and with the fascia and tissues throughout the body. Not to direct or override them, but to meet them in presence and stillness, and in this meeting the body begins to trust it is safe enough to let go.
What can emerge from that letting go is genuinely remarkable. Pain that has been present for years can dissolve. Anxiety that has been wired into the system can begin to unwind. Sleep can deepen. The body can find a quality of rest it may not have known for a very long time. Emotions held without words can surface and clear. A sense of spaciousness - of more room inside yourself - can return. And none of this happens through force or technique. It happens through the body's own intelligence, met by skilled, attuned hands and a quality of presence that says: You are safe here. You can put it down.
People often leave sessions feeling spacious. More themselves. As though they have touched something sacred, real and alive - and in touching it, remembered that it was always there.

A DIFFERENT KIND OF EXPERIENCE
Craniosacral therapy is unlike most treatments you may have experienced. Sessions are gentle and often deeply still. There is no manipulation, no procedure, no protocol being followed. The sessions are guided by your body and the quality of listening I bring to it.
This work asks something of you, too. Not effort, but a willingness to be present with whatever arises, including stillness, uncertainty, or experiences that don't fit neatly into words.
Some people find the subtlety of the work surprising at first. They expect to feel more being done. But it is often in the quietest moments, when very little seems to be happening, that the most profound shifts can occur. The nervous system needs stillness to reorganise.
FOR MOTHERS AND BABIES
Craniosacral therapy for babies is extraordinarily gentle. There is no discomfort. Sessions are entirely led by your baby. Feeding, sleeping, being held in your arms, are all welcome. And for mothers - you are bringing everything you have been carrying through the pregnancy and since the birth. The experience you had, whatever it was. The exhaustion. The worry. Perhaps a birth that didn't go the way you hoped, or a recovery that has been harder than anyone has acknowledged. Your nervous system and your baby's are deeply connected. Supporting one supports the other. I will often treat you both together. You are welcome here, exactly as you are.
If cost is a barrier, please do get in touch - I would love to find a way to support you. Home visits are available if you are unable to travel to the clinic. I am currently offering free follow up sessions for babies in clinic or your home, after your first appointment.
I am involved in running the Somerset Low-Cost Craniosacral Clinic for babies and their families at the Sacred Birth Centre in Glastonbury. It runs fortnightly on Tuesday afternoons & you may drop in although booking is advised.
