"The body holds the story of everything you've lived through"

If you've found your way here, you may be carrying something your body hasn't been able to put down. Perhaps it's chronic pain or fatigue that no one has been able to explain. Perhaps it's anxiety, or a nervous system that hasn't felt settled in years. Perhaps you're a mother whose baby is struggling, and your instincts are telling you something needs to shift. Or perhaps you simply sense that what you're carrying lives somewhere deeper than words can reach.

Craniosacral therapy works at that deeper level. Through gentle, attentive touch, safety is communicated to your nervous system. At the heart of this work is the vagus nerve (responsible for communicating safety to every major organ in your body, and for bringing your system out of survival mode and back into balance). When the nervous system is stuck in survival mode, rest feels impossible and the body can't do what it most needs to do. Craniosacral therapy helps it to find its way back. Working with the craniosacral system (the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and nourish the brain and spinal cord) I listen through touch to subtle rhythms in the body, releasing restrictions that may be holding your body in patterns of stress, pain or protection. CST creates conditions of deep rest and stillness in which your body can begin to do what it already knows how to do. Rest. Regulate. Heal.

I work with adults, children and babies across Somerset with a particular focus on nervous system health, chronic illness support and trauma recovery.

I can support you with:

Chronic illness and fatigue - supporting the body's own capacity to regulate and recover

Anxiety, overwhelm and chronic stress - when the nervous system has forgotten how to settle

Nervous system regulation

Birth Trauma Recovery for Mothers and Babies

Trauma, Shock and Injury Recovery - whether recent or long held in the body

Times of transition - grief, life change and the sense that something needs to shift

I came to this work through my own experience of what the body holds, and what becomes possible when it finally feels safe enough to let go.

My path here has been shaped by real life: raising my amazing, complicated, neurodivergent son mostly on my own, navigating my own journey of healing chronic pain and illness, tending a dear friend through the final years of his brain cancer, and walking beside my father as Alzheimers changed him. I know what it is to need support that goes deeper than words, support that facilitates healing from the inside out. That personal understanding is woven into everything that I offer. I don't hold space from the outside, I've lived inside the terrain.

As a Registered Craniosacral Therapist, I bring an integrated approach rooted in years of study, somatic practices and reverence for the body's intelligence. I work with the understanding that your body is not broken, it is doing its best to protect you. My role is simply to help it feel safe enough to do something different.

My passion for working with babies and children began 23 years ago when I took my own newborn son for a Craniosacral check-up. Witnessing the therapist’s gentle, intuitive touch was incredibly moving. My baby’s entire body seemed to relax and melt in response, as if something deep inside had been given permission to let go.

Years later, in 2008, I experienced Craniosacral therapy for myself. It completely shifted something in me. The subtlety, the precision, the quiet power of the work left me in awe. I remember thinking, whatever this magic is, I need to learn it... and share it.

And now, here I am! Having discovered along the way that the body's innate intelligence, supported by skilled, well practised hands, may feel magical, but really it is just your body doing what it's wired to do. Which is to heal when it's safe, restore when it's supported, and balance when it's listened to.

I receive therapy and supervision regularly and remain a committed student, learning and growing every day, always curious, and seeking out CPD courses to expand my knowledge and deepen my abilities. I am a fully insured and registered member of the Craniosacral Therapy Association.

Outside of the treatment room, you'll find me in nature, taking daily walks by the river Parrett on the Somerset levels with my two adorable dogs, or dancing! (Currently falling in love with Contact Improvisation dance, it shares so many of the same principles and values as Craniosacral therapy).

Thank you for choosing to work with me. It brings me real joy to support you on your journey towards greater ease, balance and health.
